Occasionally, after surgery or accidents, scar tissue forms that is not the same color as the surrounding tissue. In many cases, this scar tissue can be camouflaged by adding pigment, thus diminishing the scar in appearance and making it less noticeable. This process is most effective on scars that are hypopigmented. Most often this procedure is done on facial scars. Other types of corrective coloring can be done for past permanent makeup work if the color has faded, or the work was not done well (view example).
Corrective color does require a consultation in order to assess the scar or past permanent makeup work, determine if you are a good candidate, and to determine the price of the procedure.
